Fishing in other people’s ponds.

Let’s face it, zits suck. Just in time for back to school, BAM introduces Zitcoms for Oxy Acne Treatment. A content stream that trades clinical messaging for something teens actually want to watch, self-deprecating humor around the perils of pimples. Watch Here

Or how to grow your social audience fast and efficiently

You can and should stock your own social media pond by building your own audience and growing it over time. But in addition, there are already thousands of fish swimming around in other people’s ponds; other brands, other social pages. As the saying goes, fish where the fish are. Go catch some of those people and bring them back to your pond, your brand. It’s a short trip with immediate results.

The best ways to do this:

•Partnerships with brands that have strong engagement and established followers. Not overlapping people but an overlapping target in tangential categories.

•Influencer programs. This is the whole point of doing them, to tap into an influencer’s large and highly engaged audience. Introduce people to your brand who otherwise likely would have ignored you.

•Active community management: being seen on other people’s feeds commenting, sharing and liking exposes you to new audiences as well.

•Promotions: they undeniably get lots of leads and engagement because you are giving something away, granted some are potentially less qualified leads.

Here’s one example we just did for Rohto Eye Drops. The Rohto® Summer Drop: A 5-week sweepstakes where we “dropped” killer giveaways weekly that allowed people to have more fun in the sun, knowing their eyes were protected from the damaging effects of sunlight by the Rohto® Dual Light Relief “Drop.” The giveaways tapped into partner companies like Breeo Smokeless Fire Pits, Nixy Sports, Elakai games, and Picnic Time. In five short weeks, the promotion garnered 6 million views, nearly 40,000 engagements, 78% follower growth. And a 30% growth in sales. We shared our audience with them, they shared theirs with us. The very nature of “social.”

Sell-job alert: if you want ideas like this that can jumpstart your audience growth, email us at The BAM.

This is top of the funnel stuff here. Introducing new people to your brand is so critical because if you only sell to the same people over and over, eventually you will fish that pond dry.
