• The social media scroll has made the response to advertising more visceral, more immediate, a reaction versus a digestion.

• Do I like the way it looks? Does it give off a good vibe? If the answer is “no” to those two questions, Gen-Z are gone long before they can learn anything meaningful about your brand.

• Previous generations may have given an ad a bit more time to see if there was value in it.

But even they don’t stick around anymore if those first two needs aren’t met. The scroll has trained them. Who has time? On to that pretty thing over there.
